The Spark &
Our First Date

Mandi was raised here in San Diego, she went to college to study architectural design & international business. She’s always had a passion for creative outlets involving design which only expanded when she started travelling– she quickly realized that there was so much out there to experience and she wanted to do it all. As she began her nomadic lifestyle of backpacking off the grid, a lot of her friends began getting married and she became the “27 dresses” friend who was not only a bridesmaid, but helped coordinate certain wedding details, and even officiate for them a few times. This expanded her interest in the wedding industry since it felt like the perfect way to combined so many things she loved– so here she is at Cuvier Club turning one of her interests into a full time career.

Life Together

Brianna is from Rancho Cucamonga California. She has always had an eye for creativity and knew from a young age that she wanted to utilize that passion & artistry as a career opportunity. She grew up dreaming about weddings and watching movies like Bride Wars, Father of the Bride, and the Wedding Planner– these movies only confirmed further that she was meant to go that route for her future job. It wasn’t until a friend needed help at a small family owned wedding venue that truly got her foot in the door. That childhood dream quickly became a reality and she’s been on cloud 9 ever since– getting the opportunity to do the very thing she’s loved since such a young age.

The Proposal

Jordan was born and raised in Bakersfield but she left for college to peruse her passion of hydroponics in the environmental science field. However, when it came to post college she realized she wanted to try new things and experience all sorts of jobs. She started at Wedgewood as a server and from there realized she loved getting to be a part of people’s big day, so she made her way into the world of wedding planning / coordinating and has been here ever since.

Karamia on the other hand bore success from a young age. She started her own event company at 19 in her home town of Mission Viejo, she planned and executed events on a small scale and when it eventually grew she realized she wanted to make this passion project into a permit career! She started in the wedding industry full time in 2021 and has worked hundreds of weddings since. *This board is a fun enhancement used to display couples love stories!

Cuvier Club has been around since the 1920’s and has been many things: a gathering space, a dance hall, and now a stunning wedding venue! Much like the venue itself, our team has also evolved and grown into the strong willed, detail oriented, and cohesive team that we have today. Even though we all come from such different backgrounds, we all have one thing in common… we LOVE the wedding industry and each couple that walks through our doors (or garden gates)! Feel free to click through and meet the members of our team. Starting with Amanda— who was born and raised in Northern California. She then moved to San Diego for College where she got a degree in business marketing at SDSU. Fast forward, her brother got engaged in the spring of 2023 and she helped not only plan their engagement party but she also lent a helping hand venue shopping– which in turn sparked her love for the wedding industry and I guess you could say the rest is history.
